Destiny 2 - Homecoming

I worked on the mission Homecoming, the Red Legion's attack on the Tower, with Andrew Hackathorn and Mick Jundt on world art, Ethan Scheu on environment palette, and Tom Farnsworth on design. As the opener to the game, we wanted to push for creating high tension and dramatic storytelling throughout, so lighting helped craft and support the many beats that make up the experience. I created and leveraged several custom lighting effects, such as the volumetrics and lens flares around neon lights and fires, and both animated and physics interactive lights. I also developed several scripted lighting state changes, such as the lights in the Cabal command ship's reactor room which change as the turbines are disabled.
